Jingdezhen Porcelain Gaiwan Set

- WAITING LIST -

This porcelain gaiwan and cup set from Jingdezhen, China has been my preferred teaware since I received them last year. They’re an absolute pleasure to use. The fine jade-like material holds the light and feels smooth and delicate in my fingers. The curve of the cup fits my lips. The tea feels like a full symphony in my mouth. They are thoughtfully designed to elevate the enjoyment of drinking tea.

This gaobaini (“high white clay”) teaware is made with pure kaolin and china-stone (baidunzi) materials from the original mines in Jingdezhen, an area famous for producing fine porcelain for centuries. Brewing tea with a porcelain gaiwan allows the tea to shine, as the fully vitrified material won’t absorb flavors and fragrances, or impart a clay-like or chemical taste. Using high quality porcelain is next level. I only taste the tea, and to its fullest.

Occasionally I am able to place an order for these gaiwan and cup sets from my friends in China. The basic set is one three-piece gaiwan with two cups ($300); additional add-on cups are available as well ($30 each). To be notified about future orders, please fill out the form at the link below.

I will only be able to ship within the US this time.
